Tallinn / Tartu

I have two home towns — Tallinn and Tartu. There’s always electricity between those two that often translates into competition and antagonism, idolizing one over the other. I look this dynamic a bit differently though — on the global scale they are two small towns supplementing each other and giving me together a better home than each one alone.
These two towns are actually surprisingly similar — at least from such angles that I like the most about both. I’ve gathered here five pairs of urbanist views with similar feeling that I’ve stumbled upon in these two places.
